Human Rights

Human rights are the fundamental rights and freedoms that belong to every person, regardless of nationality, sex, ethnic origin, religion, language, or any other status. They encompass a wide range of entitlements that protect the dignity and autonomy of individuals. Human rights include civil and political rights, such as the right to life, freedom of expression, and freedom from torture, as well as economic, social, and cultural rights, such as the right to education, health care, and an adequate standard of living. These rights are universal, inalienable, and indivisible, meaning they apply to all individuals without exception and cannot be taken away. The concept of human rights is enshrined in various international treaties and declarations, most notably the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations in 1948. Human rights serve as a foundation for justice, accountability, and democracy, promoting respect, protection, and fulfillment of individuals’ inherent dignity.
